There are two ways to reach Columbus through this site — the phone number and the form. Each collects something different, and both are set out below.

Calls are recorded

The number published here routes through call tracking, and calls placed to it are recorded. Kept alongside the recording are the number you called from, the date and time, how long the call lasted, and the approximate location your carrier reports. If you would rather not be recorded, use the form and say so, or ask the operator for a direct number when they call you back.

What the form collects

Your name, your phone number, the option describing the situation, and anything you type in the description box. There is no payment step anywhere on this site, and it never asks for a card number, a bank detail or a government identifier.

Sent invisibly alongside it are the page you submitted from, the page you first landed on, the referring site if there was one, and any campaign tags on the link you followed. That describes the visit rather than the visitor, and it is the only way to tell which pages produce real work.

Who receives it

The independent operator covering your address, so they can call you back and quote the job, plus the inbox that runs this site. That is the whole distribution list. Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed to a marketplace that resells one inquiry to several contractors.

Cookies and browser storage

No advertising cookie is set and no advertising pixel loads. One value is written to session storage to remember the first page of your visit; it is cleared when you close the tab. Web fonts are requested from Google, which as a result sees your IP address, as it does across most of the web.

Google Analytics counts the traffic on pages opened at columbusdeadanimalremoval.com: each page viewed and the one that led to it, the browser and device, and taps on phone numbers, the menu, the request link and the form, up to a submission being accepted. The counting runs on two analytics cookies kept in your browser on this domain, _ga and _ga_CBN60DEXBK, which keep one visit separate from the next and link visits made from the same browser. Nothing you enter in the form goes with it: your name, number, chosen option and description are never sent to Google Analytics.

How long it is kept, and how to end it

Records are held while they are useful for handling the job and confirming the routing worked, then cleared. To have yours removed sooner, call 614-383-9698 or use the form and say so.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

A revised version replaces this page. There is no archive of earlier versions.
